Advanced Manufacturing provides many functions that are otherwise outsourced to external MES systems and also communicates with machines and sensors to further automate production processes. These functionalities are now mapped in SAP ERP via intuitive SAP Fiori user interfaces and executed independently of the device. With Advanced Manufacturing, all information, documents and media required for the production order are available to the user at runtime from SAP PP standard structures. In addition to the functions relating to the production order, the solution also provides production-related apps such as Kanban, traceability, reporting and BI.
